Construction on a staged expansion at a Brisbane riverside integrated resort has moved into its next phase, with the majority of new floor area allocated to hospitality, event and back-of-house functions rather than additional gaming positions.

Staged construction, continuous trading
Expansion works on operating casino precincts are rarely clean-sheet builds. Contractors sequence around live trading floors, noise curfews and access-control boundaries that cannot be relaxed while gaming continues.
The result is a longer programme with more handover points, each of which requires compliance sign-off before the space can be used.
Why hospitality carries the growth
The economic case for Australian integrated resorts increasingly rests on food, beverage, events and accommodation. Gaming remains the anchor, but growth capital is being directed at the surrounding offer.
That mix also changes the visitor profile a precinct can serve, and with it the staffing and licensing requirements across the site.
